I am Sebastian Salamanca, a fourth year undergraduate student at Iowa State University and a first generation student fascinated with pushing the boundaries of design and the definition of architecture. I hope to create resilient, adaptive spaces, that interact with the environment in a meaningful contribution. The following body of work represents my eagerness to push these boundaries of design and to understand architecture in a way of poetics and politics. My ultimate goal with design is to foster a deeper connection between people, place, and heritage, enriching the built environment with the communities that it serves, through creative and forward thinking design.
